The NCJSHOF Scholar Athlete Scholarship is awarded to a Jewish student who has both an outstanding academic and athletic record and demonstrates an unfailing commitment to improving the quality of life in the community.
The Stuart & Gaye Seiler Family Scholarship is awarded to a Jewish student who primarily identifies a financial need and demonstrates a strong commitment and passion to the community whether through athletics, academics or volunteerism and ‘tikkun olam.’
The Cheryl Arenson Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Jewish student who demonstrates not only athletic and academic achievements but also volunteers and contributes by driving meaningful change in their community as well as identifying a financial need for their future higher education experience. Cheryl was a long-standing member, treasurer & organizer of the annual Inductee Gala Dinner making certain all honorees & attendees had a memorable experience.
The Peter E. Sills Family Foundation Scholarship celebrates a Jewish student who does it all, excelling in the classroom and on the field while also rolling up their sleeves to volunteer and spark positive change in their community. This award goes to a student who not only embodies these qualities but also has genuine financial need as they pursue their higher education journey.
The Dennis Brown ‘Mensch’ Scholarship is awarded to a student, not of the Jewish faith, with an outstanding academic, athletic & community service record who epitomizes the Jewish concept of ‘tikkun olam’, repairing the world through generosity and charitable service to the community at large.
The Champ Pederson Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Award is Awarded to a student, Jewish or non-Jewish, with intellectual & developmental disabilities (athletic participation is not required for this scholarship, but it can be considered).
Determination of the recipient of this award is made by the donor, The Pederson Family, and the award is announced and presented at the NCJSHOF Induction Dinner.
